Amalgam is a dental filling material used to fill cavities caused by tooth decay. and from what is made of?  It's made of liquid (elementary) mercury  and a powdered alloy composed of silver, tin and copper.   Dental Hygiene Cleaning/ Scaling and polishing What is dental hygiene cleaning?  It's the professional cleaning of the teeth above and below the gum. This includes scaling (removal of the plaque and the calculus) and polishing of the teeth. Set up : Patient's bib, patient's bib holder & Goggles for the patient Exam kit : Mouth mirror, probe ,periodontal probe, college tweezers Handscaler  3 in 1 tip Scaler & scaler tip Slow handpiece   Prophypaste  prophybrush  Mixing spatula (We use the mixing spatula to scoop the prohypaste and to put it in the dappens pot)  Dappens pot * Some dentists or dental hygiene are providing air polish. The air polish is an instrument that with the air polish powder can remove stains from the surfaces of the teeth and in between.
